About us:

AVE & YOU develops cosmetics for very individual beauty needs, demands and goals. Combining dermatological expertise and intelligent technology, we develop clean & vegan products that leave nothing to be desired in terms of performance as well as naturality. To offer our customers a unique brand experience, we are looking for a working student to support our R&D team from the beginning of conception all the way to production.

Your role:

This role will suit an experienced cosmetic product formulator capable and willing to flex between different cosmetic product development responsibilities and join our R&D team. Categories of interest include skincare, personal & body and suncare. We are looking for an ambitious self starter who is working closely with the product management team, understands new product trends and is able to formulate “clean”.

initiate the development process on new products that meet marketing's expectations
built up product from lab to scale up
create and/or review and approve technical documents to support developmental projects (i.e. ingredient statements, manufacturing formula card, cost formulas)
develop manufacturing processes for development projects
develop specifications for new and/or reformulated products
source and approve new and/or alternate raw materials

What you'll bring:

a bachelor degree in science or equivalent experience
must have at least 2 years of experience in product formulations; preferably in skincare, haircare, bath & body, suncare etc.
must have experience with laboratory equipment through laboratory experience.
must have experience in clean formulations (free of parabens, silicones, preservatives)
strong data management skills, including expertise searching and establishing excel databases.
familiar with EU cosmetic regulations
very strong written and spoken communication skills in English (Basic German skills are a plus)
